This is the most critical moment in our fight for survival here in Hynafol, and I can feel the weight of it pressing down on me with every passing day.
The curse of the Devourer has ravaged our lands for too long, and while some guilds have managed to break free, many are still shackled to its dark influence, desperately clawing for a way out. The mists around our lands grow thicker, the days grow darker, and even the sun’s light seems to be fading. Whispers of the Devourer’s return haunt us, and as the Grand Gathering draws near, the tension is unbearable. Will we fall deeper into the curse’s grasp? Or will we finally find the strength to fight back?
Two new kingdoms have emerged, bold and untested, standing as symbols of hope. Perhaps they will lead the way in this desperate struggle, but it’s clear—we must all rally. As the chill of winter approaches, we scramble for resources to survive the coming months. Every ounce of food, every flicker of magic, every ounce of strength must be gathered now, or we risk being swept away by the shadows.
This isn’t just about resources; it’s about survival. Alliances will be tested, enemies will close in, and the choices we make now will decide the fate of our guilds. Will we stand tall in the face of the growing darkness, or will we fall? This is our last chance. The light is fading, but we still have time to shape our fate before the mists consume us all.

The schedule and exact scenarios of this event are still in flux. Once the Game Document is released the finer points of the scenarios, battles and narrative will be released and become clear. Everything that takes place at The Last Light sets up more scenarios for The Grand Gathering in November.

Ameneties
Valkyrie Ranch is set on 500 acres of beautiful woodlands with a small medieval village. This event will take place in and around the medieval village setting.
All Hynafol events take place in what is considered primitive camping locations. Participants are encouraged to oversee their well being in lodging, food and hygiene. Participants should prepare themselves for primitive conditions unless otherwise stated.
- Water spigots are available at this event.
- Primitive camping sites are available at all Hynafol events.
- Chemical toilets and hand washing facilities are provided at all Hynafol events.
- Flushing toilets are not available at this event.
- At this time showers are not available at this event.
Camping
Decorum and modern camping spots will be available at this event.
- Priority locations are provided for decorum tents that fit the medieval theme.
Campers/trailers/RVs/Car Camping are permitted at all Hynafol events. Power, water & sewage are NOT available.
- Campers/trailers/RVs/Car camping spots will be assigned in less conspicuous areas if possible.
- All campers/trailers/RVs using generators MUST use a sound dampening device.
- Hynafol Staff and volunteers reserve the right to request generators be turned off should they be deemed too loud. Please plan accordingly for your needs.
Meal Services are not available for this event.
Cabin rentals are not available at this event.
The Scenario
The Known World has begun to suffer from The Curse of the Devourer: cities are in turmoil, peasants despair and hope survives by a thread. As the suffering increases so does the desperation. In the mad scramble to protect what remains brave souls venture out to a small village to find hope.
Will you decide to protect The Last Light or take it for your own?
Battles
As the Grand Gathering approaches so does the intensity to solidify power. The Last Light may be one of those opportunities. Sides will be chosen and four battles will ensue. These battles are not only for the fate of the Light, but also to peer into depths of the mists mysteries.
Quests
Martial prowess will not be the only opportunity to grab a sliver of the light. The small village is brimming with locals who know more than they let on. No task is too small to gain their trust. They just might be more than meets the eye…
Ceremonies & Lore
The townsfolk whisper of ancient relics scattered across these lands, fragments of a powerful artifact said to offer protection to those who can collect them all. These long-lost pieces are steeped in mystery, and the path to finding them is shrouded in ancient lore.
Brave souls must embark on quests and battles to uncover the relics, each discovery revealing more of a forgotten history. Once the pieces are gathered, a grand ceremony will be held to awaken the old magic, binding the relic together and offering its guardians the protection of a bygone era. Will your guild be the one to restore this ancient power?
