Hearken, denizens of Hynafol! By decree of the Court of Power and the Lady of the Lake you are summoned to the Festival of Champions. Four days of glory, mischief, and merriment on the banks of the Colorado River at River Forest Haven. Bring your war face, your wit, and your finest garb, for this year the Festival is truly a FESTIVAL.

Event Overview

The tradition of the Festival of Champions continues: the best and brightest from across the Known World will gather for a weekend of fierce tournaments, quests, nightly revels, guild pageantry, and riverside adventure. Expect two full days of tournament play, nonstop daytime events, and nightly entertainment that keeps the campfires burning long into the moonlit hours. Early Arrival on Thursday and Late Departure on Tuesday are included for all ticket-holders. Arrive early, leave reluctantly.

Quick Details

• Four days of programming across Memorial Day weekend with two full days of tournaments.

• Multi-day gameplay (tournaments, quests, guild activities, and nightly entertainment) begins Friday, May 22nd.

• Early Arrival: All tickets include Early Arrival beginning Thursday, May 21st at 12:00 p.m.

• Late Departure: All tickets include Late Departure; all must depart by Tuesday, May 26th at 12:00 p.m.

• Medieval clothing and attire are required for full participation.

What to Expect

• Tournaments: Teams and individuals will clash in organized contests. Bring your strategy and your courage.

• Quests and Adventure: Riverbank quests and daytime adventures suitable for solo champions and full guilds alike.

• Nightly Entertainment: Music, theater, contests, and revelry under the stars, truly a festival in every sense.

• Guild Activities: Meet, recruit, and scheme with guilds; bring offers, favors, and cunning.

• On-site Check-in: Every attendee receives a wristband and in-game resources at check-in.

Prizes and Glory

Prizes, including coppers, bits, crowns, and other wonders, will be awarded. Where possible, tournaments will be split into beginner, intermediate, and advanced divisions with rewards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Bring your best: heads of kingdoms will be watching for champions to add to their causes.

Tickets and Lodging

• All tickets cover event admission and participation in Festival programming.

• Camping: Available in designated camping areas. Personal camping is DIY unless you purchase a special lodging package.

• Early Arrival and Late Departure: Included with every ticket as noted above.

Registration and Arrival

• All participants must be 18 years of age or older to register.

• Check in on-site to receive your wristband and in-game materials.

Venue and Amenities

River Forest Haven is a largely primitive riverside site on the Colorado River. Facilities include flushing and chemical toilets and showers. Campers and RVs are permitted; power, water, and sewer hookups are not available. To reserve a camper or RV spot, email logistics@hynafol.com.

Safety and Conduct

All folk share responsibility for one another’s safety. Hynafol’s Code of Conduct and mandatory combat and event safety rules apply. Obey staff directions and complete all required briefings. Remember, this is a festival of rivalry, not of bloodshed: open hostilities are forbidden. Build scenes, make enemies in-character, but keep everyone safe out-of-character.

• Lodging: Personal camping is self-supplied unless you purchase a lodging package.
