Festival of Champions

Festival of Champions

February 21st – 23rd | Paige, Texas

Event Overview

The tradition of the Festival of Champions continues as the best and brightest from around the continent gather for a day of fierce competition, raucous cheering, good food and evening merriment.

This event combines the thrill of competition in various tournaments with the backdrop of political maneuvering and rumormongering. Be sure to read the game document for full information of acgtivities.

At this event open hostilities are forbidden: it’s a day of competition and rivalry – not of bloodshed. Come with your game face on, cheer your favorite champion to glory, and make deals to ruin your enemies in secret…

Fliers begin to be spread all around The Known World on every town board stating:

Festival of Champions!

Do you have what it takes to be considered a

CHAMPION?

Come to Thousand Skies and compete in:

Mace Ball

Combat Tournaments (4v4, 2v2, 1v1)

Viking Games

Talent Show

Chess

Liar’s Dice

Cut Purse

And Various Culinary Competitions

All eyes will be on you! Heads of all the kingdoms will be watching for champions to add to their lands and their causes, be it as knights or equals, do your best and you may catch the eye of someone more powerful than you can imagine!

Across the lands teams start to form, teams of 7-10 for Maceball, 5 fighters with two healers minimum. Theater acts start up rehearsal while chefs practice their best recipes. Some practice their moves on the chess board, others their stealth in the shadows. Do you have what it takes to be a champion at the festival? Do you have a reward you wish to ask of the nobles of the lands and now is your chance to have their ear? Brush up on your skills, gather your friends, we will see you at the FESTIVAL OF CHAMPIONS!

Prizes Available to win: Where possible tournaments will be divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions. Prizes will be given out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. Prize levels increase as the difficulty of the bracket.

There will be coppers, bits, crowns and other prizes galore for each tournament.

Dates: February 21 – 23

Want to run a competition or host a performance email the GM Team: gm@hynafol.com

PLEASE NOTE: The world of Hynafol is only brought to life and made magical by the full participation and investment of each attendee. Therefore, all participants will be required to dress, act, and live as though in a medieval fantasy setting. Everyone in attendance must be in medieval clothing for the entirety of the event. A basic rule of thumb: if it looks or sounds like it’s from the modern world – it isn’t allowed!
