Event Overview

A massive storm has devastated the Known World, leaving crops dead and lands barren. The few remaining territories have been claimed, and hope seems scarce. But amidst the chaos, the storm has opened six mysterious ‘eyes,’ patches of sunshine where life struggles to thrive.

Now, looting squads of five must form and rush to these rare havens. Food, resources, and precious treasures await those daring enough to battle for them. As in the year past, King Arthur has once again opened his storied vaults, offering resources, buildings, transports, and supplies from his hidden stores. These treasures will be auctioned, for all to bid upon. For Arthur understands that strong lands, not mere wealth, will rebuild the Known World.

Will you fight to secure vital supplies, earn coin to repair shattered homes, or claim these lands for greater power and influence? Will you bid for Arthur’s treasures, knowing that what you win may be the key to thriving amidst the storm?

In this high-stakes Feldzug, alliances will be tested, battles will rage, and loot will abound. Gather your squad, prepare for conflict, and stake your claim in this fierce contest for survival and supremacy. Feldzug awaits, are you ready?

The Scenario: Survival & Glory

In this expedition groups of 5 will register as squads to complete a Feldzug – a military campaign; this one for survival and glory.

Squads will combine forces with other squads to form a side*. The leader shall be chosen in a lottery to lead each the of different scenarios throughout the day. These battles will be for the lands and treasure that have gone unclaimed in the now crowded Known World. Each Side of a scenario will receive points for their victory to be used at an auction at the end of the event. The winners will receive the bulk of the points while the losing side will receive a pittance.

Full battle scenarios will be announced in the game document along with the opportunity to bid to lead one scenario. 

 *All participants wishing to battle will have the opportunity to join each scenario if they do not have a squad of five. Extra participants will be divided up equally for each scenario.

Three Crowns Counting House & Carta Arcanum:

Throughout the event The Three Crowns Counting House will be open and available for transactions, purchases and actions taken in the Carta Arcanum. Full schedule forthcoming in the game document.

Combat Instruction: 

Combat Instruction is required for all attendees. A review of the safety, rules and general strategies of combat at Hynafol will be given during this time.

New Players!

New Players are welcomed and encouraged to join us for our Expeditions. If you have never been to a Hynafol event before please join us and we will gladly welcome you into our community, show you the ropes, teach you how to battle and get you acquainted with the game! This is a perfect opportunity to jump into the fray as all participants will have a chance to battle regardless if they have joined a squad. 

All scenarios will be balanced with players that would like to join and participate. 

Arthur’s Auction: 

King Arthur has once again gathered many gifts to be auctioned off to the Denizens of Hynafol in addition to the offerings to Squad Leaders. This auction shall be open to all. Denizens of Hynafol will be given the opportunity to bid on various resources deeply needed in the Known World. 

A Note on Decorum Procedures during the event:

The world of Hynafol is only brought to life and made magical by the full participation and investment of each attendee. Therefore, all participants will be required to dress, act, and live as though in a medieval fantasy setting. Everyone in attendance must be in medieval clothing for the entirety of the event. A basic rule of thumb: if it looks or sounds like it’s from the modern world – it isn’t allowed!

Tickets & Packages

All tickets for this event cover your entrance fees into the event, camping spot and participation in the battles.

Camping will be available in the Sherwood Forest campground.

Ages & Tickets

All attendees must be 18 years of age or older to attend the event. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend the event.

Minors have special ticket prices and may be added to a ticket or package on the checkout page. Some exceptions apply. See package details below.

Children ten (10) and under are free of charge.

Adults 18+ – $97.00 + Taxes and Fees

Minors (11 – 17) – $47.00 + Taxes and Fees

Children (0-10) – Free

Amenities

All attendees of Hynafol have access to the following amenities during the event:

• Camping in Sherwood Forest Faire’s Campground
• Shower facilities with private stalls and hot water – which are free of charge.
• Free parking!

Sherwood Forest Faire Note

During this event we will be sharing the space with participants of Sherwood Forest Faire during their “Off-Season Gathering”. Many people will be in attendance of this event that are not part of Hynafol and may or may not be dressed in medieval attire. This is an opportunity for the two communities to overlap, and should be a mutually beneficial time of enjoying the space together. This includes camping both nights: the space will be shared and many Sherwood Clans will be occupying their camping space in its entirety.

Members of Hynafol should be deferential and respectful to the participants of Sherwood Forest Faire at all times.

Any Hynafol Member reported to having foul or inappropriate behavior towards a Sherwood Forest Faire participant or representative shall be banned from all future events.
