Step into an evening of intrigue, politics, and celebration as denizens of Hynafol gather once more for a Courtly Night. This immersive roleplay event invites nobles, guilds, and adventurers from all corners of the Known World to put aside their weapons and raise their voices, as politics, titles, and alliances take center stage.

By decree of the Stewards of Hynafol All Denizens of Hynafol are called to hold Court! This event, while hosted by a guild, is explicitly designed to move the politics, skirmishes and set the stage for the future of Hynafol by all guilds and Kingdoms.

This year, the court opens under the shining banners of a new kingdom hosted by The Aureate. The new ascendant monarch will be crowned in a grand coronation, presiding over the Opening Ceremony, marking the dawn of a new era in the Known World of Hynafol.

You’ll witness public judgments, join war councils that shape the November Grand Gathering, play in games of rumor and stealth, and seize resources and Carta rewards that will echo through the rest of the season. Every choice, every deal, every whispered word has weight.

For new denizens of Hynafol, this event is the perfect entry into the world. Friendly concierges and guides will help you connect with guilds, kingdoms, and vocations, while informational NPCs explain the rules of titles, land, and courtly play. You’ll meet fellow players, discover the different factions, and learn the ropes through approachable roleplay and simple quests designed to draw you in. Whether you wish to ally with a guild, pursue a noble rank, or simply explore the bazaar and bardic showcases, Courtly Night offers countless ways to step into the story and become part of the realm.

Our opening and closing ceremonies and many of the large meetings will take place indoors with plenty of Air Conditioning to keep you cool!

Rumors, cutpurses, assassinations, bard performances, and a bustling bazaar all await while you uncover secrets and witness the ominous events that lead to this fall’s events.

Calling all Bards and performers! This is your chance to shine for all Hynafol Courtesans! Perform for coin, win favor and maybe find a patron!

Settle minor disputes, spark new rivalries, and plan skirmishes for the Grand Gathering.

Rumor trading, stealthy cutpurses, assassin games, bard performances, and a bustling bazaar.

Will there be alcohol service at the event?

Yes, there will be a cash bar available on site.

Can I bring my own alcohol / is this a BYOB event?

No. All alcohol service at this venue will be provided by the cash bar service.

Are costumes required?

Yes, all Hynafol events require decorum clothing / medieval costumes.

Will there be combat at this event?

No. This is a political and roleplay focused event. 

Can I bring my larp weapons to this event?

The Stewards of Hynafol have declared that this Courtly Night should be free of physical conflict and will be confiscating all weapons besides daggers. Daggers should remain hidden and out of site. We understand the usefulness of a dagger for all manner of life and protection. You should bring a dagger.

What will the food be like?

Light appetizers and snacks will be available throughout the evening to keep you satiated. The food will not be a replacement for a full meal. Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free items will be available. Other food allergies may not be able to be accommodated. 

You may bring outside food, but it must be kept decorum at all times.

What is the parking situation?

Parking is street parking in a neighborhood. Please be kind and courteous to the neighbors. Volunteers and signage will be visible so that you do not get lost. The week of the event we will send out full parking directions.
